Turning Infographics into Posters

Recently, I shared a post about an infographic I created using Piktochart.  The infographic is titled, "6 Tips for Recording Video" and I put it together really as an experiment with Piktochart.  Well, today I was on a video call with some of my colleagues at CSU Channel Islands and Michael Berman said, "Hey, Michelle, look what we made!"  He held up a giant poster of the infographic, which our Teaching and Learning Innovations team will display on the walls in the Faculty Innovations in Teaching (FIT) Studio on campus.

What a great idea! The quality looks pretty good too, which was surprising. I just had to share!

How Recruiters Use Social Networks (Infographic)

I saw this infographic on Mashable this week and thought it was incredibly relevant to my previous post, College Students: Why Social Media Matters To You.  This infographic does a solid job of pointing out the potential for social media use to result in negative and positive effects on future employment.

How are new college grads learning how to craft their social media presence in the most effective way?  Is this a skill that could or should be an outcome of a college degree?  Is your college's career services department integrating these skills into their workshops and other services?  And what about our online students?  I'd love to hear your thoughts and any related activities on your campus.

The Flipped Classroom: an Infographic

I am an enthusiastic supporter and practitioner of the "Flipped Classroom."  I see it as a very tangible reality for improving the learning outcomes of college students, the mainstream understands how and why it works.  This infographic, which I picked up via David Wicks' blog, visually communicates several of the key concepts of the Flipped Classroom.

Please take a look and be sure to share with your own networks!
